Mikkel Andersen – Tech Skeptic

I’m Mikkel.

I’ve never been particularly interested in technology for the sake of excitement. New tools, platforms, and “breakthroughs” are announced almost daily, and most of them promise far more than they deliver. That doesn’t make technology unimportant—but it does mean it deserves to be examined more critically than it often is.

I was born and raised in Denmark, where there’s a certain cultural tendency to question things before accepting them. That mindset has followed me into the way I approach technology. I don’t assume something is valuable just because it’s new, and I don’t find hype particularly convincing on its own.

My interest in tech started early, but not from fascination—from frustration. Software that didn’t work as expected, systems that overpromised, and tools that introduced as many problems as they solved. That led me to look deeper, to understand not just how things work, but where they fail.

Over time, I developed a focus on analyzing technology from a more practical perspective. What are the trade-offs? Who actually benefits? And just as importantly—what are people not talking about?

Artificial intelligence is a good example. There’s no doubt it has potential, and in some cases, real impact. But it is also surrounded by exaggeration, unrealistic expectations, and a lack of honest discussion about its limitations. That’s where I tend to focus my attention.

At Zetbit, my role is not to dismiss technology, but to bring balance to the conversation. While others focus on what could go right, I look at what could go wrong—or what simply won’t matter in the long run.

“Just because something sounds impressive doesn’t mean it is.”

I write for readers who want more than headlines. People who are not just looking for the next big thing, but who want to understand whether it’s actually worth their time.

Technology is powerful, but it’s not magic. And if you don’t look at it critically, it’s easy to mistake noise for progress.
